University of Birmingham

For over a hundred years, learning and research at the university has played a major part in the success of the city, the region and the world. APOD supports the professional development of the univerty's 6000 staff and works with teams and departments on the development and implementation of strategy and policy.

University of Birmingham rebranded in 2005. APOD’s name change in 2008 (from SDU: Staff Development Unit) reflected a shift in offering and perceived place – from course delivery to organisational development – and from the fringe of university life to the centre. IE rebranded APOD and repositioned the organisation to fulfill its goals to grow numerically, qualitatively and in terms of its sphere of influence. IE took APOD through a visual branding exercise and outputs included a new visual identity, brand guidelines and print / screen based collateral.
