IE's web and design teams are celebrating the successful delivery of a family of HTML/CSS skins for Moodle and Liferay to complement a newly-built virtual learning environment (VLE).
The VLE is a multi web service portal system that will serve schools, initially in the Birmingham area, and is aimed at primary, secondary and adult audiences.
IE's client, Link2ICT (formally Learning and Culture IT within Birmingham City Council), is a division of Service Birmingham, an innovative strategic partnership between Birmingham City Council and the Capita Group. Link2ICT work to deliver the transformational benefits that IT can bring to improve the outcomes of children, young people and adults and contribute to a city-wide e-learning strategy.
IE has a long track record of working on projects with an educational remit. Ever since Managing Director, Ollie Leggett, left the 'chalk face' to launch IE back in 1994, the agency has worked at all stages, from primary through to higher education, with both not-for-profit / charitable and commercial organisations operating within the sector. Areas of specialism include digital communication strategies, interactive CDs and DVDs, educational branding and print design.
