West Midlands QI is the quality observatory of the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority which serves 5.4 million people and manages a budget of £7 billion.
West Midlands QI found IE via a web search for West Midlands based agencies specialising in Brand and Web work, with strong Project Management experience. IE was one of 4 agencies invited to tender and was appointed after submission of a full proposal covering creation of a brand identity and a highly innovative website.
“The website is fantastic and everyone who has seen it has been amazed by how much you’ve achieved in just 24 working days! Thank you for everything you’ve done. The quality of the work is outstanding and we are very grateful for all the support the IE team has given us.” David Lane, Project Manager, West Midlands QI, WMSHA
West Midlands QI is the quality observatory for the region. It is a new service that intends to become the one-stop shop for clinical teams and organisations for information about quality of services. Its purpose is to enable the continuous improvement of quality of care. Its ambition is to be a national and international leader in the field.
To brand West Midlands QI and to create an authoritative, innovative Phase 1 website – all within 24 working days. Critically, the website had to translate complex quality data – currently buried in long, highly detailed reports created by NHS informatics experts – into an engaging, intuitive web interface where data can be explored on multiple levels – from a basic ‘headline’ overview to the facilitation of close inspection of detailed source data.
24 working days from commission to launch of www.wmqi.westmidlands.nhs.uk
Work ongoing: fortnightly addition of reports and branding of sister organisation underway.
New brand identity. Phase 1 website launched on time and under budget. Creation of innovative, embeddable ‘chart player’ concept.
