Patient Care Web App

At IE we always like to stay ahead of the game with cutting edge technology. As specialists in digital marketing and web design for the Health sector we want to tell you about a development in the world of web apps.

The currently unnamed web app has been developed by a Seattle-based product design company called Artefact and has been created for the Seattle Children's Patient Information System. 

We love it because it epitomises everything that IE stands for - beautiful design, innovative problem solving, great user experience and graceful application of cutting edge technology. 

The web app is in the design stage. It focuses on patient care in hospitals and is aimed at doctors, administrators and patients alike. The idea of the app is to deliver a patient care management system that is easy to access and update – displaying real-time data in a simplified format which makes it intelligible to all.  

If you have ever been stuck in hospital then you will appreciate the immediacy of this app. Vital patient stats can be viewed at a glance with the option of drilling down to extract more detailed information if required. Complex tables and graphs are nowhere to be seen on this attractive, concise app and colour has been utilised for optimum usability. 

Patients can feel reassured by the ‘estimated discharge’ capability which will give us an idea when we will be allowed to leave because there is, after all, no place like home.
