Last year was brighter. This year is lighter.
Logo Lounge have once again delivered to us their design report, their 9th to be exact, for the evolution and trends of branding produced over the past year.
A short summary being that logos are trying to be live entities and not so 2D anymore. Colour still prevails but some softer palettes are being recognised. A logo is not just a logo but is transcending into a variety of forms that pull a brand together e.g. icons and favicons. Trees have played a popular role in many a logo along with transparencies, sunsets and strangely enough - zebras?!
The biggest trend is quite simple. Logo's do not want to be contained anymore. The days of a logo fitting comfortably within a geometric shape are long gone as Logo's take on a whole new 'free to explore' the page approach.
